November 2015: AsTeRICS Academy goes to Kenya

During a 7-days journey through Kenya, two members of the AsTeRICS Academy Team visited the MERU University of Science and Technology (MUST) and several special schools and small homes for children with disability in Kenya. Together with the academic partners at the MUST University a proposal for an APPEAR academic partnership will be developed: the "Competence network for eInclusion and Assistive Technology". If successful, collaborative strategies for the application of Open Source Assistive Technology in Kenya and Zimbabwe can be developed and implemented in a 4 year timeframe.
